Kaleb,

Best time is to go during the week. a.m. On weekends, head down to the mansfield dam side. The water is so cold there that most wallys will not be there. It is great riding even on weekends.

Tim
Wet Sounds

Tim's right. Lake Austin averages high 60 degree water. Grab a CWB Faction Neo top or other heater top and head for the dam. Great water, less boat traffic, but it's chilly.

Ditto. I can't go out during the week, so I'm only out there on the week-ends. We usually drop in at the 360 bridge at about 8 or 8:30 in the morning and then start heading towards the dam. You get on the water ahead of most of the wallys and then keep going away from them. When we're ready to call it a day, we pull in the rope a bit and surf back down to the bridge.
