Marine Technician opening at Action Water Sports of Traverse City, MI
 

Action Water Sports is looking for a Marine Technician at our Traverse City location to join our award winning team. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance and repairs on both inboard and sterndrive boats. We are looking for a highly motivated, marine certified professional with experience in the field. AWS offers excellent compensation, retirement and health benefits, and continued training through Ilmor and Volvo Penta.

Responsibilities include,
-perform routine and scheduled maintenance
-examine every serviced boat for damage
-Must be able to competently diagnose and repair all aspects of a marine engine, and electrical systems
-Communicate with customers, service writer, and parts manager
-Abide by company hand book policies and procedures and look for new ways to improve the departments productivity and efficiency.
-enter notes and details of repairs made in the computer system
-Maintain a positive attitude and work with the team to overcome challenges
-Must be proficient in using OEM diagnostic and parts programs
-Must be proficient in the use of all marine engine specialty tools

Job Requirements
-Minimum 3 years of on the job tech experience
-Must have auto or marine certification
-Must be able to competently diagnose and repair all issues of marine engine, electrical, and mechanical systems.
