Well Im not gonna come out and say everything they sell is a blem or a second.... but I have purchased 2 boards from them now a 3ds this past spring and most recntly the LF lyman ($$$ BOARD $$$) both came in the plastic with visible defects. The 3ds had a chipped decal and the lyman was navy blue instead of black and on the bottomm a big black line going threw it. Anyone else have problems???

wakebrdjay 08-30-2008 5:01 PM

With those defects I wouldn't ride them you might get hurt.Sell them to me,I'll give ya $50 each +shipping. J/K That's why they are such a good deal they have cosmetic flaws that don't effect their performance.I'll take a small graphic flaw any day for a $200.00 savings.

I just got the Lyman as well from BBB and nothing at all is wrong with mine. Board is in perfect condition. Maybe it was just bad luck. Email them and tell them, they may do something about it.

wakeboardlasvegas 08-30-2008 5:42 PM

Not sure if it says anything about it but it probably should. But either way, who gives a F if there is a line through it or something that doesnt affect performance?

phantom5815 08-30-2008 6:25 PM

Nothing wrong with anything I've bought from BBB.

pickle311 08-30-2008 6:36 PM

I guess that's better than paying full price and getting mad because the sun faded it.

ridinonair 08-30-2008 7:03 PM

Nothing I ordered has been blem'd my board arrived in awesome condition

brainrinse 08-30-2008 7:47 PM

Flawless purchases here, too.

From what I understand BBB and Boarders Mall is just a website where board shops from across the country sell their goods on consignment. They are sold through BBB, but may ship from various places throughout the country depending on which retailer is offering up the goods that day. Again, I may be wrong on this, so forgive me if I am.

Therefore, if one time some retailer who is selling something through BBB sells a blem, I wouldn't hold it against BBB when most of the time they are representing good deals. I've bought a couple of things through them and all have been top notch stuff. Even if it were a blem you cannot argue with the savings they are providing.

kyle_neumann 08-31-2008 5:47 AM

have u guys seen the mana deal on BBB yet today!?!?! sicj only $160

srh00z 08-31-2008 10:31 AM

My Faction had a few cosmetic blemishes, but I was expecting that for the price. They sell stuff for cheaper than you can score it on eBay or in the classifieds section here for used goods. I will definitely buy from them again, they also shipped quickly.

ohjeff 08-31-2008 2:08 PM

Pardon my ignorance, but what is "BBB"?

just think, You have a Lyman That is unlike any other. And you got it cheap....

tommyc 09-01-2008 8:29 PM

If we sell a demo. blem or mixed stock, we always post it. In the case of the 3DS you baught last year and the latest board, the Lyman, those were not seconds. We dont open each box to check the board out because we just don't have the time. But, if you get something from us that you are not happy with, you should contact us and we will take care of it. You can send it back and get a replacement or a refund.

wakemikey 09-02-2008 6:25 AM

They don't sell consignment, they just buy unsold units from other vendors. Nothing should be a blem unless marked call Tom or his wife they will make it right but with a small operation patience may be required.

I have ordered from both their sites BBB and Boarders Mall. I ordered the wrong size tower mirror arm for my tower and it was dealt with. Seems like a honest shop to deal with.

guitsboy 09-02-2008 7:58 AM

Just bought my 2008 zeuses from them a couple weeks ago. They arrived flawless, although the UPS guy left the box in the rain... Will the water hurt them?

eubanks01 09-02-2008 8:15 AM

"Will the water hurt them?"

I so wish you were asking that seriously!

dave23 09-02-2008 8:16 AM

Tony, are you serious!?!? You do know these are wakeboard bindings and they will be used in water, right?

(Message edited by dave23 on September 02, 2008)

Tony, are you serious!?!? You do know these are wakeboard bindings and they will be used in water, right?

Now that is even funnier than Tony's post!

Lucky for them it washed away the freight/shipping charges.....

tuneman 09-02-2008 9:00 AM

Tony, wet bindings suck. If you got water stains, I hear you can apply a thin layer of kerosene to them and then gently apply a lit match. It'll remove the spots.

guitsboy 09-02-2008 9:18 AM

Emphisis on gently applying the lit match, right? Ill try this out on my brothers ronix boots since they have worse water spots than mine. Although, if I recall, there were a few stories of ronix products spontaneously exploding and killing your future first born child.}
