Do Hyperlite bindings ONLY fit Hyperlite boards? I have an 04 Absolute and I'm looking at different Hyperlite bindings.... let me know. Thanks.

I have high backs on a 141 Inferno w/ beer tabs as spacers. Works just fine but I'm sure there is a legitimate fix.

beer tabs? spacers?

Originally, I had a crummy pair of CWB bindings and then switched to Hyperlite. The screws that came originally would not hold the binding tight, so I drank four beers and used the tab (aluminum can) for a spacer. Worked well but there is an actual clamp for crossing over.

Hyperlite bindings should work on just about any board. My roommate has a substance with highbacks, and it works great. In fact, most the people I ride with have one brand of board and a different brand of bindings. I ride an 05 absolute with 05 transits for example.

I have a pair of 04 Parks and they would not fit my 03 prodigy plat. So i had to get some sphynx bindings to fit the board.

I had a CWB pure with Highbacks. Before I switched to and Absolute Platinum with Transits. The screws for the Claws were too long. I had some spacers from some old binging screws that I used. But before I decided to use those I went to the hardware store and got some stainless washers for like 10 cents/washer. But they do work fine with CWB boards. I rode that set up for 1 1/2 seasons.

Try getting a washer.

I have an 04 Absolute with 05 Byerly bindings and have no problems.

Eric - if you went and bought a different pair of bindings because you thought that one pair wouldn't fit your board, then you're not thinking outside the box. Different length screws will make your Hyperlite bindings go on your CWB board no problem.

My left binding always slides out of place when my board is put away so I have to fix it before each set. At first I thought it was because I have it standing on the tail leaned against the wall, but they never moved on my Byerly so I'm just gonna lay it down and see what happens.

Ive got a 05 Absolute 135 with LF Ultras and they fit perfect

Washers work fine.

I have a CWB marius with 2004 highbacks. I needed a extra spacer though as the screw holes werent deep enough

ethomass 07-19-2005 7:40 PM

Thane i didnt just go buy a different pair. I had two boards and one pair of bindings. Since the parks bindings didnt fit on the cwb board i bought the sphynx bindings. This also allows the board to be the board that others use when on my boat. So they dont have to wear my parks.

Do Hyperlite bindings ONLY fit Hyperlite boards?

Above was the question asked, and you said that Hyperlite boots WILL NOT fit on a CWB.

Ronia - Hyperlite boots will fit on your CWB.
