I have good progressive edge but I cannot seem to build enough speed to get across. I seem to get plenty of height but cannot get enough speed on the TS. Any general TS W2W pointers? Thanks

how fast are you riding at?

could be you need to speed up/ slow down, remember it's a lot easier to edge on your heel side

I have the opposite problem, I generate plenty of speed but not enough pop on TS. I will work on it some more tomorrow!

Speed but not enough pop usually means you aren't leaning down the rope creating tension and/or letting of your edge at the wake. I've had a problem with this for years but have finally began to fix it this year.

try edging hard right at the wake. start at about 15-20 ft out and take a progressive edge into the wake. as you start to edge up the wake edge harder away from the boat. and keep your handle low on your hip as you pop off the wake.

Ryan, I agree with you all up until you said edge hard...

One of the biggest things that helped me on my toeside was not edging "hard", just progressively. A lot of people think edging hard means just digging the piss out of your cut, which will end up adding a TON of tension on the landing.

I would say to make sure that you keep the rope tight to your hip, and edge through the wake with BOTH hands, but don't edge "hard," as it will probably inhibit learning.
