I have been trying a 3 for a while and can get the spin, but just cannot keep the wake...I come so close and have been able to paddle almost back in, but can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I watched a video from trickboardz site and it looked like the rider didn't even move back on the wake. Any tips on what to do? I know i am spinning fast enough because I tend to over spin into a 540 at times...If it helps i have been using a phase 5 prop lately. Thanks

jus kinda do a 180 the slowly spin the rest of the way around and put weight on ur back foot

i have been putting weight on the front assuming i would lose the wake if i slow down to much, why do you put it on the back foot?

I may be oversimplifying it, but when I was just starting to try 3's and would blow out the back, I just STARTED my 3's closer to the boat and thereby finished them still in the pocket. I was never able to do the 180 and then a backside 180 like Derek suggests. Try concentrating on starting your spin about a foot closer to the boat. It feels weird at first, but it worked for me.
