I just noticed this come up on ebay and wanted others opinion on it. I have been watching the board here for a while and never see any topics on Ski/Sky Supremes... are they decent quality? should i expect that since Shaun Murry's name is on this that it is a true wakeboard boat? This will be my first Boat purchase though i am not new to the sport at all... i have been riding behind a 2001 for a several years.

any opinions would be appreciated.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=63686&item =4550903249&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

When i can't make it out on my dad's malibu, i usually ride with my buddy on his 04 220 sky. The supremes seem to have great quality..remind me of the feel of a centurion. The wake is nice and rampy we are able to wakeboard and wakesurf with no problems at all. The only downside on my opinion are the smaller ballast tanks..i think they have two, 250 lb rear tanks, but that is easily fixable. Oh, and make sure it doesnt have a phat budde tower...those suck ass! With Shaun's endorsment..i am sure you wont be disappointed.

we have a 04 v220 sky and for the money it is a well built boat. we are currently moving around weight in the front and middle to weigh it down and help with boat chop as well as rideability issues(only rear ballast=stupid)we need about 300lbs in the bow to make it ride better but it also helps with the wake

we had about 7 people in it last year and some 300lbs of ballast and the wake was VERY nice...very comparable to other TOP names

get a hold of me if u wanna chat

The picture of the wake looks very washed out...I'm assuming there going pretty slow pulling the kneeboarders. I had an 88 ski supreme. Decent wake, but underpowered.

I have a 04 V208 and my friend has an 02 V220. is booat has more room, it is amazing what a differents a foot and a half in length makes. Mine on the other hand, has a deeper hull, and handles the chop much better than his. Both boats are great. I don't know about the older supremes but the new ones, including mine, are being made by fineline, same people that make centurion. I think for the money they are great boats.

Watch the DVD DETENTION... you will see the wake quality in the entire video. That was filmed behind that boat. I dont think you will be disappointed... but I see the reserve is not met... Keep in mind that a brand new Supreme, Centurian and Sangers are in the mid to low 30's base model... so don't get caught up in the bidding if it gets too high!!! Good luck!!!

We have an 05 v220sp and couldn't be happier, everything on the boat is very well put together. I would agree about to ballast though, needs some weight in the front. The boats are built for the most part by Fineline but all of the "fit and finish" interior ect is made and put in by supreme. They do a little nicer job IMHO than the centurion final product. Good luck!!

found this one on trader. might help with identifying current market value? ebay can get a little out of control with the overbidding:

http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/5/8/79098658.htm

That's an old Supreme design from about 1993. Then it was called the Medalist. I think you would prefer a v-drive over the direct drive on ebay. They changed and modified that boat and made the 220 a few years ago. IMO, red on red does not look good and could be difficult to re-sell. I would try to find a late model V220 (03,04) on ebay. A new one, I think, with the Sky package runs about $38k. Good luck, Dave.

I meant look on boattraderonline for a late model if it's in your budget.

good to see a few more in the Supreme family tree...we seem to be a quiet and subtle bunch

marknjenn 05-20-2005 11:16 PM

amen midwesty, but that's the way we like it! right!!! no xstaaaaaaaaro5's here!!

gpau 05-21-2005 8:04 AM

Thanks everyone for your input. Sounds to me like i wont be dissapointed in the wake or quality of the boat, so if it stays around NADA book i might pull the trigger.

deltadave, i agree on the red on red... that is a downside tha might make me look closer at the one in Boatrader.
