GoPro Helmet mounting
After searching the forums I haven't see much about mounting the GoPro on a helmet using the adhesive mounts. I was wondering how many GoPro users here have used the adhesive mount on a helmet when wakeboarding?
I have used the combination of a head strap mount under my Shred Ready helmet. It seems to work. The only downside is wearing all that gear. http://gopro.com/camera-mounts/head-strap-mount/ The viewing angle seems to work well. Here is a quick video captured using this setup. <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/oBeORpBYSXY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Still working on getting some wakeboarding video up. I have used the chest harness but if you cut out toeside, you get a good view of the forearm. m- |
I use the GoPro helmet mount! It's a little to get used to right away, but it's a blast! I also used rubber cement along the outside of it to ensure that that lil' sucker stays put.

I crash like the best of them...so i can vouch for the mounting staying put. The head strap though is not made to be on the outside of the helmet, it will come off. I just attached a floating lanyard to the gopro in case it does come off my board, helmet or vest. The 3m adhesive works great if you clean the surface well.

just what they make, the strap and the mount. i like the chesty for riding, just have to extend it out a bit and be conscious of the camera..
