Hi,

I am in the process of researching/purchasing a used boat... the gentleman claims to have never used the perfect pass on the boat and "assumes it works." Besides the obvious... putting it in the water and testing it... is there a way to test the PP to see if it is working when the boat is not in the water???

This may be a dumb questions... SORRY! This is my first wakeboard boat purchase... thanks for the help!

(Message edited by eoc1212 on December 05, 2008)

Yeah when the boat is on the servo should auto tighten in the engine compartment. It is attached to the throttle cable. Also it beeps and the lcd unit should display. But water test should be done to make sure it works. The paddle wheel might need to be cleaned if he doesn't use it. Also you will love perfect pass!

Duffy

if it is a drive by wire boat - like every one we've sold for the past 2 years.... it has no servo. you have to put it in the water.

The boat is a 2005 23 foot Moomba XLV... would this one have a servo?

Also just to see if its reading a speed you can turn on perfect pass while its on the trailor and have some go under the boat and spin the paddle wheel to see if it picks up a reading of how fast your spinning the paddle wheel.

Yes the 05 will have the servo
