What is this? If I do a stale with a tuck knee its called a "tuck knee stale"?

Obviously people have been doing these for a while. I think. Just never saw them alot before until Schwenne's on Alliance and Henshaw in the magazine...big tuck knee indy in Tahiti.

THESE THINGS ARE SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

K.B.C. 09-10-2008 5:33 PM

I haven't seen either much until just recently. I like em also, been meaning to try out the indy

proho 09-10-2008 7:02 PM

No if you did a tuck knee and grabbed stale fish it would be called gay. Tuck knees are pretty much only grabbed indy. It's just the natural thing to do.

nickbot 09-10-2008 7:08 PM

tuck knee mute??

mrboston187 09-10-2008 7:15 PM

get some video clips up

kapellrieforstyle 09-10-2008 7:21 PM

its not called a tucked knee
its called style
GRAB AND POKE

element8456 09-10-2008 7:37 PM

Is this just a poked grab your talking about if not post some pics/videos

srh00z 09-10-2008 8:15 PM

Where is the pic somebody posted up recently of a tucked knee indy? Was it a picture of Henshaw? It was sick.

srh00z 09-10-2008 8:22 PM

Found it. http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/622805.html?1220634706
My apologies to Schwenne, it is him bringing the style, not Henshaw. I also re-read the original post and saw that you referenced this shot.

(Message edited by srh00z on September 10, 2008)

wakemitch 09-10-2008 8:57 PM

Nick, tuck knee means grabbing around the knee instead of reaching between your legs (stinkbug). you cant do a tuck knee stalefish

snwmot 09-10-2008 9:22 PM

schwenne kills it and is always looking for cool new things to try and make his riding different the "tuck knee" is just another example of it iv'e seen him do some sweet poked grabs with the handle in his grab hand no pics but it's awesome! by the way congrats to mike and monica on their upcomong wedding!

http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/622807.jpg

There's the pic from the thread Stephen linked to.

All I know is that there is no way I could get my foot to bend over that much in my Zeus bindings. Guess I'm not gonna be able to pull off the "tuck"...

adam_balon 09-10-2008 10:37 PM

all i can say is that schweene one is proper. looks like hes busting it on a skate.

not a big fan of henshaws.

sidekicknicholas 09-10-2008 11:02 PM

isnt it laying your knee flat down to the board?

lachie_mew 09-11-2008 12:04 AM

can someone please scan the henshaw photo. i wouldnt mine seeing it.

pyrosmurf 09-11-2008 1:48 AM

Chris O'Shea has one of the best in the business. That one of Schwenne is tight though.

dooie 09-11-2008 2:12 AM

was that in boarder?

pyrosmurf 09-11-2008 4:09 AM

Chrisso's? I'm not sure, probably though. There are a few tuck knee's from the Pressure Cooker that made it into his section for my upcoming movie.

K.B.C. 09-11-2008 6:52 AM

eah, henshaws was in wb mag. it is sort of a tuck knee indy glide.

liquidmx 09-11-2008 9:12 AM

Henshaw had one a while back in the Standard that was rediculous.

element8456 09-11-2008 9:52 AM

hyule 09-12-2008 11:02 AM

Andy? Where are you on this? Can we get a final verdict on the terminology?

wakeslife 09-12-2008 2:33 PM

The shot of henshaw in one of the past Standerd issues is sick because the board is out behind him, almost like a glide.

jrad 09-12-2008 3:58 PM

Schwenne is definately the one to take the crown on bringing this new style back into wakeboarding. Still having a huge emphasis on the poke, the tuck knee is a new art that other riders will start to imitate. Props to Mike at West Coast Camps for always pushing new ways to do standard tricks on the wakeboard.

dadthedriver 09-12-2008 6:38 PM

Mike also tears every once of support out of the bindings here wears so he can do those pokes and grabs

adam_balon 09-13-2008 1:14 AM

ben b true that.

electricsnow 09-16-2008 8:51 AM

It's just like mitch said. You don't have to bend and touch your knee to your board or whatever. It's about how you go about grabbing your board--do you go around your leg or in between them? Some people will tweak it, but that's a personal thing.
