10-15-2012 10:55 AM

Man that really does suck. Hopefully no one was injured. Maybe Bill can shed some light on what happened.

Doesn't look like he was using his tie down straps either! ;)

How long til this thread turns into a debate about the superior trailering characteristics of the G23? Lol..... Glad to hear everyone is ok. Never fun seeing a boat upside down on the side of the road. U can tell he is sponsored, cuz if i had payed for that boat, you'd see me in the picture kneeling next to it sobbing like a baby trying to impale myself on a scrap of billet.

10-15-2012 1:19 PM

My bigger question is...what was ironJ doing on teamtalk?? Hmmm...he's selling his G23 and hanging out on a MC site lol

LOL. Yes, I'm a member of TeamTalk...been so for about 5 or 6 years. I have no beef with any brand as they are all great boats, but I will most definitely be in a G23 next spring.

I'm guessing the driver didn't realize that they were in a Kangaroo crossing zone :p

mark197 10-15-2012 2:57 PM

Maybe he couldn't afford the payments anymore. LOL.

polarbill 10-15-2012 4:28 PM

He was probably sick of the washy wake;)

ralph 10-15-2012 4:30 PM

Poking fun at a near disaster like this is bad form IMO

It sounds like everybody came out ok otherwise I would completely agree with you.

10-15-2012 6:58 PM

He's been pretty chipper on twitter and made a comment that everyone was ok

ralph 10-15-2012 7:28 PM

Ok. I am officially turning into a grumpy old man......

NO YOUR NOT! This is a Disaster, a perfectly good 2013 X-Star was Trashed. I think that we should hold a moment of silence today for the lost X-Star. Flags at holf Staff!

LYNRDSKYNRD 10-16-2012 7:34 AM

That'll buff out

austin 10-16-2012 9:21 AM

That was the nicest looking 2013 X Star that I've seen. It's a shame to see it go down before getting a chance to be featured in some videos.

Even if everyone came out physically okay, I'm sure it was pretty stressful for all involved. I hope they're all doing okay mentally/emotionally.

gregs_place 10-16-2012 11:13 AM

That is the tower that every 2013 X Star should have the other tower looks like ****

skidog 10-16-2012 3:47 PM

He's smart!

Goonz 10-16-2012 3:49 PM

Nobody would care if it wasn't was Harleys.. I bet he can pick up his new boat by the end of this month. Nobody is hurt and thats the most important!

10-16-2012 4:00 PM

Not when he and his boat are in Australia he wont get it that quick.

10-16-2012 4:04 PM

Thanks for chiming in and putting a rest to this. Hope for a speedy recovery for harley both physically and mentally.

Cant believe that people would go that low to make a ridiculous comment like you have.

Bill, first of all I am sorry to hear your son got hurt in the accident and I hope it isn't anything to serious. Hopefully he makes a speedy recovery. I meant it 100% as a joke, why I used the emoticon, thinking that no one was hurt.

Nordicron 10-16-2012 6:45 PM

Yeah I'm sorry for joking around on this also, thought no one was hurt. Hope he gets well soon!

P.S Liked seeing Harley on the wakebros episodes!

VinnyA 10-16-2012 6:48 PM

Everyone here in CT wishes the best recovery to Harley. He has a huge following here after he visited this summer. Not only an amazing athlete but a real approachable personality who represents the sport in the best possible light. Get well soon Harley!!

Readyaimfire 10-16-2012 7:01 PM

I don't think anyone thought u were being serious or malicious Brett. No harm done.

johnny_defacto 10-16-2012 8:02 PM

x2 Tommy. No need to insult and bash Brett for a comment that was meant to be, and was, funny. He obviously was informed, like the rest of us, incorrectly as to the injuries the occupants incurred. Just look at Bretts history, he is obviously not a moron or malicious. Thank you for clearing it up for us Bill and I wish Harley a speedy recovery.

Kane 10-17-2012 8:41 AM

Happy to hear everyone was ok.
Anyone know what caused the crash? Pulling boats can be dangerous, if something can be learned from this then it may prevent another accident.
**Note: it my be that a third party was involved, in which case it's just bad luck.

srock 10-19-2012 6:40 AM

These things happen unexpectedly and fast. It's always good when you can walk away from this stuff and you count your blessings when you do. Glad everyone is ok.

There has been an ongoing debate on strapping the boat to the trailer. I would like to know if strapping the boat would have helped in any way?

boardjnky4 10-19-2012 7:14 AM

Looks like the post was deleted, but it's still quoted above. From Bill_Dad:

"harley was injured, he hurt his back and is very sore across his chest from the impact of hitting the pole."

Soooo, yeah, not sure how much tie downs will help when you hit a pole.

mckenna 10-19-2012 10:10 PM

some of you guys are borderline stalkers.

benjaminp 10-22-2012 11:32 AM

I would so much rather a link than a straight up blast of bare man bum to the eyes, haha. I hope this doesnt slow Harley down at all, best of luck to him!

Jmaxymek 10-22-2012 1:00 PM

Apologies for the crudeness there haha... how's this

Harley slammed into a post supporting a rail this week too, and has a massive bruise on his butt.. https://twitter.com/favorites#
