winterizing my 2004 X-10 Mastercraft

I have bought a new 2004 X-10 Mastercraft and have had a great summer with it. I have to get ready for winter now that the kids are getting into school sports. I have never winterized this boat so I was wondering if you could give me a breakdown of the steps that you do, if you have this boat or similar, to winterize it. I don't even know how to winterize the fat sacs.

Can't wait to get this boat out of storage for next summer's memories.

Check out TeamTalk on the MC web site. There are a couple of threads that list everything you should do. It is not hard to do.

A couple of tips. In addition to draining all the water out of your block and exhaust manifolds, make sure to drain the water of your heater (if you have one) and shower (if you have one). I recommend running safe anti-freeze (the anti-freeze used for RVs) through your heater core as even a small amount of water can split the cooper tubing. You can run the same anti-freeze through your ballast system to make sure there is no water in your pumps.

Lastly, most folks do their yearly (100 hour) maintenance as well when they winterize.

Good luck.
