15-17 mph, around a 30ft line.

Just rode it like you would a wakeskate.

Or ride the fiberglass ones like a wake surf board

I haven't personally, but I've seen a friend do it at wakeboard speeds on butter just messin around....

Same friend has also tried wakesurfing on one, but even he prefers the wakesurf boards....

They do not have much rocker and always thought of them as better surfers than skates. Have mounted an old wakeboard fin to one and it made a pretty good skim style surfer at normal surf speeds. Actually it was noticably faster than some wakesurfers I have tried.

(Message edited by bmartin on February 03, 2010)

My really big friend uses a skim board to surf, the thing bends pretty bad but you can spin like never before on it. And he weighs 240 haha

We have done it a few times and it seemed like a lot of work for a small reward. With no fins and a small area it was hard to control. But hey as long as your having fun it doesnt matter what your doing.

ya I was just thinking about it for screwing around, and if anyone else had fun doing it.

It's a blast. We do it all the time, some surfing but also just being pulled farther back. I like the freedom you can spin like crazy and just have fun.
