Original install thread here: <a href="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/676565.html?1237172087" target="_blank">http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/676565.html?1237172087</a> <BR> <BR>Finally finished the stereo in my boat. Carpeted the boxes, cut out a flush panel, screwed down the other one. Also added Oznium LED's in the cupholders, 5-led pods under the consoles, and a string of 70 LED pucks under the swim platform. Battery on the boat was pretty close to dead when I took these pics, so they're not quite as bright. Only 2 of 5 led's were working in the console at the time. <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/682214.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/682215.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/682216.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/682217.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/682218.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/682219.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/682220.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/682221.jpg" alt="Upload">

Beautiful dude, just awesome... I would love to see it clean, but I like the Supra decal also. <BR> <BR>Nice job

treycleaton 03-28-2009 6:27 AM

That looks really good.

jonyb 03-28-2009 7:31 AM

Thanks guys... Probably keep the Supra and the swoosh until I can afford a wrap. I'd probably do something real similar to the 22' Supra on the zdecals.com homepage.

03-28-2009 7:45 AM

WOW! Great work (read the other thread too). If it was me I'd lose the supra logo too and just go clean all around. That boat with those colors and the way they're laid out would look awesome naked. <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" border=0>

hatepain 03-28-2009 7:54 AM

Home run buddy, nice job. It looks really clean and effortless if you know what I mean. You should be proud of the job you did it turned out great now go out and enjoy it. <BR> <BR>Which ozniums did you use in the cup holder?

davidggriffith 03-28-2009 8:08 AM

how does the subs sound? is to much for a your boat i'm thinking putting two in my boat

jonyb 03-28-2009 9:04 AM

Too much sub is never enough.... Actually, they sound awesome. <BR> <BR>Thanks for the props guys... <BR> <BR>Hate, those are the superflux 4-chip LED's. Very bright! You can't really look directly at them for too long. <a href="http://www.oznium.com/prewired-superflux" target="_blank">http://www.oznium.com/prewired-superflux</a>

saceone 03-28-2009 9:07 AM

looking very tight buddy

brucemac 03-28-2009 9:09 AM

wow. clean. nice work. enjoy your summer!

brucemac 03-28-2009 9:10 AM

hey john, how does the XXX sound in the compartment? how would it sound without the 2nd under the dash? you're running off the Syn1 right? you change out your alternator?

jonyb 03-28-2009 9:13 AM

Each XXX has it's own amp loaded to 1ohm mono. With 1 sub it was pretty loud. I still have the stock alternator, but just upgraded batteries.

jclay5 03-28-2009 11:21 AM

John, <BR> <BR>I'm curious about the LED's under the swim platoform. What are you using to hold them in place and are they water proof? Also where did you get them? a link would be great. Thanks.

mtnsun 03-28-2009 11:31 AM

John, <BR> <BR> Nice work! I am in the process of doing the same with the LED's. I'm pretty impressed with the outcome of yours. Nice &amp; clean looking Supra (coming from a MC guy!). Keep up the good work.

jonyb 03-28-2009 11:35 AM

The pucks came with double-sided tape on them already. I stuck them to the platform with that so I could get them where I wanted, then got some Marine Epoxy at Lowe's and applied that all around the pucks. They're on there like cement. <BR> <BR>The lights are waterproof. I emailed superbright about these first and they confirmed that they were the correct lights to use for underwater. <BR> <BR><i>LBM2 series LED Module <BR>Waterproof LED Module with 2 high flux 110 degree LEDs <BR>measure 1.33 x 1.13 inches and have 3 1/4 inch wires between modules <BR>The quantity you order will be wired together in a string, 100pcs maximum per string, price is per 2-LED module <BR>$ 1.45 </i> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/682266.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/682267.jpg" alt="Upload">

saceone 03-28-2009 11:44 AM

how did you power them? trough the platform brackets?

jonyb 03-28-2009 11:54 AM

Yes. It actually doesn't work too well. The lights flicker. I've sanded the paint down around some of the areas that make the most contact, but I may end up doing something different.

jwmustangin 03-28-2009 3:25 PM

you're gonna replace your swim platform with a teak one right.....<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/lol.gif" border=0> <BR> <BR>PLEASE DON'T....just kidding....that's a sweet ride man.

supraride 03-28-2009 5:23 PM

John, that boat looks awesome and the inside lites look great. I think I need to do that.

pdxWAKE.com 03-28-2009 6:03 PM

wow. awesome.

jonyb 03-28-2009 7:13 PM

Jeff I almost want a teak one since mine's so covered up in scratches....

adam_balon 03-28-2009 10:50 PM

was there any fading where the stickers were? if so did a wax and buff take them out.

jonyb 03-29-2009 3:48 AM

Don't think there was any fading, but after buffing it, you can tell they were ever there.

warwagon 03-29-2009 8:47 AM

can or can't tell?

duckguy 03-29-2009 8:48 AM

I kinda liked the stickers, led's look great

jonyb 03-29-2009 9:10 AM

whoops.... that should read "you can't tell they were ever there.

captain_542 03-29-2009 4:39 PM

beautiful and clean, amazing stereo and the sticker removal was a good choice. I have lights on my platform and the bracket deal doesn't work for me either. I was thinking about drilling a hole in a drain plug and running a wire through it and epoxying it up. may by a bit better.
