Do the 07 3DS's have a full lycra sock or do they have the foam rubber strip running down the back of the ankle like the 06'? Can't tell online and have no local shops. Thanks <BR> <BR>(Message edited by bighead on May 08, 2007)

If they are like my Murray's, they have a sock down to the footbed. Way nicer IMO than the '06 version.

the '06 and '07s are the same just new colors.

Jessica's right, same boot. Very comfy though.

Cool. I feel that the full lycra is easier to get into. I tried the Cells and they have this. I like the stiffness of the 3DS better though. Thanks

Damn, Thane, I thought they felt different when I tried them both on, but some rep from Hyperlite at Meghan Majors booth told me they were the same binding. I wasn't going to question the dude since he should know. Maybe he was trying to unload the '06 model. Can't go wrong with '07. That's the first binding I've had that conforms to my really wide feet.

Like Thane I'm not sure which I like better. the new ones do seem a little more difficult to get in and out of.

I too got 07's on a warranty issue with my 06's and I would have to agree with Scott. They are different. And I fully agree with being a little harder to get in and out of. I called Hyperlite today and the girl I talked to told me that the only difference between the 06' and 07' is the color, the boots are identical. I guess product knowledge is not required for all positions. I thought that was funny.

not only that but i feel like the fit is a little different. i have wide feet but never really had any problems with bindings. got 06 parks last year and had them replaced with 07s cuz they ripped. i could slip my feet right in with the 06s, no lube just water. with the 07s i struggled even with lube, and when i was in they were too tight. ii have to believe they changed something but they claimed they didnt. i <3 the snakeskin btw.

i have the 07 3DS's and i love them...they are so comfy....LOL but yea i love the stiffness and the closed toe!!!

I've had the 07 3DS for about 2 months now, ridden maybe 10 times, so far the front bit where its closed has split (both the outer and the inner) and the inside neoprene sock has come to pieces. Wouldnt recommend these bindings
