Guys,

I want to replace to the fog lights on my 2007 Z71 Tahoe with some HID lights to match my low beams. Currently I have the Putco Pure nitro blue bulbs on my car and these bulbs caused my lens to fade and the reflector in the lens to flake off. I have 55w 10000k for my low beams now so I would really like some that are close to matching those. The bulb is a 5202 for the fog lights.

I ordered a new pair of lens that are coming in this week and I want to put a new pair of lights to. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks for the help.

If you have the 55w bulbs they aren't HID they are probably colored to give the HID look. If you want reL HIDs they are going to be expensive. Or you can get real HIDs from eBay that are cheaper just not name brand. That's what I have in mine. Just go to eBay and type in HID and the bulb number. Mine lasted forever.

^^ You can get 55w HID lights but they are almost too brite...I have them on my boat.

I agree, go to ebay...you cna pick up a pair with ballast for under $100.

ddmtuning.com

You are talking about too many different cars.

Are you trying to match the Factory low beams on the tahoe?

Lots of ppl i know have had good luck with the slim balasts from ddmtuning, and i own a set.

Don't get 55w HID's for the fogs, get 35w's...they put out less heat for the small fog lens

dhcomp I was looking at ddm today cause a buddy of mine told me about them a few weeks ago. I read some reviews on Z71 tahoe-suburbban and people were giving them mixed reviews. Whats your experience with them?

the guys on bimmerfourms.com review them pretty highly.

Mainly the full sized kits, or the slim balast's. Not sure about their "cheap" raptor kit.

Mine have been flawless, and lots of ppl have ordered from that site w/o problems.

I probably have 15k miles on mine.....
