Just saw this on FB.

2 different boats...

Houstonshark 04-15-2013 8:18 AM

Ha. I noticed that too. I bet Rusty (and MC) are not very happy with whoever edited the video.

What's the big deal with 2 diff boats?

jarrod 04-15-2013 9:24 AM

The deal is that he rides for Mastercraft. If it's not a Mastercraft production, there's not much you can do about it. It was a body glove vid, and they probably don't care about the boats being used.

Anyway.......Rusty is killing! Everything looked like a sleep walk for him.

In the photo above, the G23 is being as a chase boat, he's not riding behind it.
Nothing to see here. End of thread.

What was he riding behind? Old star? It wasn't the new star

spencercoon 04-15-2013 10:28 AM

I find it odd that they are using a G23 for a chase boat. Doesn't seem like the best use of funds. Rumor has it those beasts burn around 16 gallons of fuel/hr....:o

Seeing a G23 being used as the chase boat makes me want to cry....

captain_vilfo 04-15-2013 11:04 AM

nice, its been a while since i've seen him ride

mattgettel 04-15-2013 11:24 AM

Thanks for the explanation.

Well.. I've got 6hrs.. including break-in (hammering it) and several sessions... and I'm still over a half tank. So, a pretty weak rumor.

Here's my take on the fuel consumption after putting 85 hours on my G23 with the 450hp engine, last summer. We usually always fill up the tank before each outting. After approx 2 - 30 minute sets, I seem to typically have to put in about 19.5 gallons to top the tank off again."

Try responding back with your "data" when you've actually had to refill your boat....

Ironj runs well over full factory. I've heard of X25s burning in excess of 12-13gph. I also doubt they were cruising in the G loaded up, but I digress.

It's very possible that a bodyglove shoot was going on with Nauti and MC riders??

That's what I think. It was probably Jeff Mckee's Nautique.

Go look at J's ballast set up and do the math. I believe he's running 2500 over stock.
