Hey guys I'm getting a Liquid Force Faction soon and I'm new to wakeskating. What i really need to know is will I need shoes. I thought it was only neccessary for griptape tops but I'm not sure.
Thanks for the help.

you will need shoes. even with foam you will want shoes if you want to progress. after a couple sets youll probably want to get grip too.

any skate shoes will work. you dont need "wakeskate" shoes, just some shoes absorb more water then others and get heavy.

welcome to wakeskating.

I have some old skateboard shoes will they get to wet?
|
they will work fine.
just have fun and enjoy it!

just remember that board control is way more important then tricks. if you have control, the tricks will come easier later on.

SHRED!

(Message edited by wakemitch on December 22, 2007)

This is getting off subject but which is a better board? LF Faction or CWB Base? Or any other wake skate for under $100
|
LF faction for sure. for 08 they made the shape better too. most flat decks have really narrow tails but LF is making the faction wider so your toes dont drag when you edge.
Also the sizes come in 40 and 42. which are sizes that will work for everyone.

I'm not the biggest fan of flat decks but I have an O'Brien Traffic w/ grip and I really like it it's wide enough for my big ass feet and I paid $70 shipped just my .02

i just got into wakeskating a lil more also and got a hyperlite scape.. 100 bucks.. not the best.. but i cant complain yet..
|
you should check out the ugp doyles... they are soo badass... if you are interested in a pair hit me up..

Any body got any feedback on the jet pilot reflex shoes?
|
I second mK

Im on the UGP Doyle's now, and out of the JP reflex, the Mesh DVS volaris, and tons of skate shoes, These are by far, the best shoes I have ever skated with.
