Seadek Brushed or Dimple Pattern

Looking to Seadek my Sanger V215 Swim Platform and wanted opinions if anyone has compared the durability and abrasion resistance between the Sea Dek brushed finish and their dimple finish. I see that Malibu now puts the brushed finish on their new boats, wondering if it was more resistant to cuts and scuffs than the dimple version for board fins and such. Any input is appreciated.

Not sure if it helps but I have the brushed style hydroturf and its held up just fine.

The dimpled stuff definetly is more comfy on the feet , but the brushed stuff is more durable. I have had both. I like the dimpled stuff for the comfort factor.

My buddy has had the dimpled two tone 8mm pad for 4 seasons now and still looks great. I just ordered one today for my sanger with a different font.

Seadek is awesome stuff.

I've had both types of pads on my swim platform.

I currently have the "brushed" finish in a faux teak look.

I found that I the pebble finish is more resistant to scratches, fading and swimming dogs climbing up on the platform.

SeaDek is a great product but their customer service is HORRIBLE. Just be warned that they are very slow for production, give yourself 3 months from the time you make your first order to actually wanting it on your boat. Make sure you order the dry fits and send them back with corrections if you need to. Also make sure they send you an invoice as soon as you order to make sure they have your order correct and you get what you thought you were ordering. If another company made the faux teak swim platform pads I would order from them if I had to do it over again. Great product, horrible customer service.

oh, c'mon. I have had nothing but terrific customer service from these guys. You got a problem, the resolution is at your door in three days.

I agree Ed, they have been so awesome so far!

That is legit... I would like to see a lot more pics of people's custom work on their platforms...

Shawn, I am having a pad done for my 2006 Sanger V215 with the traditional Sanger graphic in the oval. Which graphic are you having done?

shawnmdarnell 10-21-2013 6:32 AM

I'm having one done just like the one above, but with traditional sanger without the oval. I went with a blue bottom pad and a black top pad.

Oh, I like the blue Roo pad!

Is that a tri-color one?

Why are they using the older Roo logo - was that your choice?

I modified the logo a little to fit a couple different applications, plus the boat is old (an '02) and I am old...
