Hey i just have a quick questions. whats the difference in the 05 and the 04 supra ssv gravity games ed. boats. did they change anything in those boats. Also does all the ssv gravity games boats have the big bertha ballast if not what do they have. Also how is there wake!

jon_a 03-12-2006 3:38 PM

Besides the colors, the boat is exactly the same (the same hull and deck and interior). There were a few small accessory changes. In 2004 the light bar/speaker combo was made by Mako. In 2005 the combo was made by Roswell. 2005's come with swivel board racks where the 2004's are normal board racks. Besides that, they are the same boat.

About the ballast system, all of the Supra's come with a Gravity III ballast sytem-277 lbs on each side of the engine and 650 lbs in the middle. From there, you can get upgraded sacks only from the dealer to get the gravity games bags (600 lbs on each side of the engine and 1100 in the middle).

I rode behind a 2003 Gravity Games 22SSV (same hull as 2004 and 2005) most of last year. The wake is awesome. There is a reason this boat was chosen as the gravity games towboat.

(Message edited by Jon A on March 12, 2006)

so does the supra ssv gravity games edition come with the 277 on each side and the 650 in middle or the 650 on the sides and 1100 in the middle. If it comes with the 277 and 650 setup how much is it to upgrade to the bigger one.

jon_a 03-12-2006 7:22 PM

ALL launches come with the standard ballas 277 on either side of the engine and 650 in the middle.

To upgrade to bigger bags I've seen between $750 and $900-depends on how much you local dealer marks them up.

(Message edited by jon_a on March 12, 2006)

I have an 05. Instead of spending the big money for the so called Gravity Bags, for the sides I bought the 750lb Pro X bags aprox $250(pair) and added lead to the front. I have aprox 2900 lbs with lead and all. all for under $250 and it works great. You can get lead at any tire repair shop. They will be happy to give it to you for free. The Pro X bags will not fill to a full 750 as they area few inches big, but they will not overfill due to the hose placement. It is a much cheaper way than over priced gravity bags. This has worked great for me.

how much of a wake difference would you see in going from 1200# to 2900#. Also do you leave the lead in your boat at all times including trailering. If so could that be harmfull in any way to boat or trailer.

also is the stock ballast enough to surf behind

I have a 21V and we surf behind it no problems with stock ballast.

How big of a difference is there in the 02 supra 22 ssv and the 04 supra 22 ssv g.g edition. As far as the hull, wake, interior, ect. Aslo the 02 has the upgraded ballast so it has 2000+ # of weight.

jon_a 03-13-2006 3:46 PM

Same hull therefore same wake. Interior won't be quite as nice but same vinyl, carpet, etc.

I'm a Supra and Moomba dealer in Arkansas. Let me know your price range and let me hook you up man. I'll deliver down to you. Send me an email: jrallen02@hotm ail.com

Ryan E. the difference is pretty big between the 1200# and 2900# I have a place on the lake so I do not trailer my boat. I have a lift and I always leave the lead in. I melted it down into blocks so I can easily move it around. If you are concerned I would definately melt it down for easier mobility. 600# of weight spread out will not damage your boat even trailering it. 600# is about 3 people but if you take that weight and put it in the front of your boat it is huge. This is Dave Briscoe's secret, I got the idea from him. Im going to guess he does not remove his when trailering.

Ryan,

Here is my 02 Launch with about 2500lbs. A little different angle. I can weight mine down as much as I want and it still get's out of the hole and throws a monster wake with about 8 people and the additional weight.
