Went boarding yesterday. Put in at Orwood, 60 degree air, 42 degree water, lots of butter. But I forgot my camera so here are two crappy camera phone pics to show you what you missed.

I laughed at the first one as my son (9 yrs) lost his breath once he jumped in.

T

42 is COLD!!! I had a kid drop in one time and panicked. We had to yank him out. Looks epic though.

|
Yeah my boy panicked a bit...I..I...I....I cc...cccaann.....ccaannntt breath! I told him it would happen...he was good a few moments later. Santa brought them wetsuits but I think they would have liked drysuits.

T

What boat are you on, I can't believe that's a Nauti 196.. if so, how much weight?!
|
Yep thats the boat...my 196. We had two adults and 4 kids so say 800lbs in people and 20 gallons of fuel.

Its a nice wake for the boat.

T
|
today was crazy. air and water were in the low 40s and the delta was covered in thick fog. absolute glass though. so fun.
|
trying to make us all feel like wimps?
wow! dedication indeed!
maybe my wake love aint so "guru" afterall
|
here are some pics from today from ollieshuvitz's blackberry

That just looks so freakin COLD!!!
|
That last pic looks like the fog was thick. I would be scared of hitting something...still fun I'm sure.
|
Paul, it was so thick. we had to call it a day because we just couldnt see at all anymore
|
Trev great pick's never the less. It's good to see you using your boat when most of us have them all tucked away.
The first few years we used to go out pretty much all year. After we got the lake house we only go out when it meet's our criteria LOL Warm and Smooth. LOL
I wonder how many people get like that. After the Novelty of a new boat wears away the dry suits get put away and you wait 4 warm days
|
It's nice to wait for warm days, but when you gotta ride, you gotta ride!

Mitch and Trevors son ROCK. DIE HARDS. Dan you too. but those other guys are in wetsuits in approx 42-45 degree water and air. Its freakin cold just riding the boat brrrrrrrr.

Mitch that does look really cold, we were going to go out footin but the sun never came out so we are going to try tomorrow before the rain if the wind blows the fog out. We're spoiled up in the port of sacramento its about 49 in the water according to the fishermen.

(Message edited by bftskir on January 01, 2009)
