Faria Pilot Gauge

I have a supreme with the Faria Pilot multi function gauge. The depth portion keeps having dash lines across the screen and it doesn't read the correct depth. I 've sent the gauge back to Faria for replacement only to have it do the same thing. Has anyone had this problem or have any ideas.

Thanks

You have a bad transducer. I am surprised that Faria sent you a new gauge for that. Did they not ask you if the other functions on the gauge worked?

Cool, Thanks, does anyone know where the transducer is located on a Supreme V208

Look in the bilge around the vdrive. It will be a black plastic tube with a screw cap and a gray wire out the top.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. The afix the transducer to the hull in the bilge and the transducer itself actually twists and locks into a sort of cup that is filled with polyethylene glycol that acts as a sonic conductor by filling all the imperfections in the hull. Mine was low. You can use non toxic RV coolant (got it at walmart) which is polyethylene glycol and water to fill it up. Mine has worked fine since.
