I got a job offer in Leesburg just wondering what the lake were like there?
there are some fantastic lakes in the area.
I have a friend from Mt dora that always raved about his lake, and my boat is currently at another friends' house at lake Weir.

houses on the lake will be fairly pricey, I know on Lake Weir, as well as the lakes around Clermont, you are looking at 400k for a tiny house on a small lot.

however, you should be able to get a house on a couple acres off the lake for a reasonable price. and if you want to live in a cookie cutter neighborhood there are plenty of those around too.

bottom line, if I could get a job comparable to what I have now in the leesburg area, I'd move in a second.

First off thanks for the info. I am sure I cannot afford 400k but from the internet looks like houses off the lakes are much more reasonable.Do any of the lakes have public ramps?
Many of the bigger lakes have public ramps, and many of those ramps are quite good.

beware of the gators and snakes.
you dont have to worry about gators or snakes....... lol
Be aware of the humidity!!!
We have very humid summers in Iowa just not near as long. I was told that they do a good job keeping the gators out of the lakes is this not the case?
no they are in the lake but they almost never attack wakeboarders. now if we could only train them to attack tubers and people on PWCs
hahaha....... just dont even bring up the subject of gators....... its one of those things you just don't worry about at all.
Paul, I worry about gators everytime I'm in the water. Thank God I've never seen one, well atleast not in the daytime.

I've actually seen them quite a bit in lakes and rivers, even while we are riding.
