My uncle is looking into buying an 04 X2. I was wondering how the wake is, what speed do you have to ride at for a decent wake, and all the pros and cons. Anything you know is appreciated.
Thank You

World class wake. Was the X Star, then the X2, now the X1. A bit tight on interior space, poor rough water ride, but throws an awesome wake with some weight. It will clean up at about 19 with no ballast.

What Rod said.....
Not a big water, rough water boat. It's a nearly flat bottom ski-hull so a smooth ride in the chop is not in the cards.

Awesome boat otherwise, great wake , great power, good handling, decent for skiing, OK on gas.

I ride at 22 and my GF rides at the slowest speed I can clean up the wake which is 19-20 MPH.

Glad I bought one

I have an 04 X2 and I love it. Until recently I just rode at 19 with the stock ballast. Love it. I would highly recommend the boat.

How much is it going for? What opitions does it have?

I have an X-1..... you can go down to even 18.5mph with a 65' rope... just have some extra wieght in the front.. keep it clean...

Great wake.. I like it more than the new 06+ X2.. def has more kick and you don't have to add nearly as much wieght to get it HUGE!!

Thanks for all the info...
Its an 04 X-2 with 189 hours, perfect pass, triple ballast, in excellent condition. Its going for 36,000, I thought that was a pretty good price.

That's a great price, Michael. It's also a great boat.

I think that price is a little high considering what a new X-1 would cost. Just my .02

Consider the price of an X-1 by the time you get tandem trailer, triple KGB, swivel racks, stereo with subwoofer....

189 hours isn't much at all!

Ron, do you have any idea what a new X-1 costs? That is a great deal and I would jump all over it. Assuming it is in decent shape.

gti2lo 08-15-2007 1:41 PM

loaded X-1 will run you about $50k

Plus the X-2 gives you certain billet accents in the interior that an X-1 will not give you.

example around the gauges, throttle plate, rocker switches.
