Classy Wakesurfers!!!

I just want to say how impressed I am by the reaction to the results this year. I was in Nashville 2 years ago, and all i heard was complaining. The divisions should be seperated, the contest was rigged, only the big names win etc.

This year it seems totally different.

1. Drew Danielo, he loses his title to a 14 year old boy. Drew has been blogging about Keenan and what a great job he did. I am told he even swam out to congratulate him after his run. Class act all the way. Drew also congratulating all the winners of the surf comp for RIPPING it up!

2. Keenan, I spoke with him and his mother quite a bit 2 years ago, very very nice people. People forget Keenan led the pro division in the preliminaries at 12 years old. He is just a very nice quiet boy, and king of the wake. Congratulations.

3. The Surf style crowd. Seems like this is the arena where the most progress happened in the sport. Jeff walker congratulating Keenan on "the best single run he had ever seen" right after his son just lost the overall world championship to him (now that is tough!! as a dad I know). Jeff also for keeping us all informed with pictures, reports etc.

4. All the competitors for keeping a good attitude while dealing with numerous boat issues. The regular surfers especially having to switch model and type of boats with entirely different wakes mid competiion.

I know I am missing a million props given by competitors so.........

I am sure there are many more examples of great sportsmanship that everyone saw this week, let's all share a couple of stories!!!

Lets keep our sport about sharing and helping others succeed. This will make the sport HUGE!!!

I second the comments about Drew. Total class act.

being new to all this ...... everybody associated with the event ...... planners, people running the event, and all the competitors were totally awesome
there should not be 1 thing said that wasnt positive about everything that happened ...... the pro riders were incredible making themselves accessible to everyone and they were all a class act as well as everybody that was there!!
