Looking for third in the St. Louis area.

How far out of St Louis? I am down in Clarksille Tn but have friends up in Chesterfield

Where in St Louis (or area) do you go? I just moved to Chesterfield from Indianapolis and am unfamiliar with good spots close by. A friend at work said that a lot of people go on the river, but the thought of hitting something like a log in there makes me sick to my stomach.

So far I've been riding on the Mississippi north of Alton or else on a lake in Illinois that's about 1.5-2 hours away from St. Louis. The river is quite scary, but the alternative is a 3-4 hour round trip tow to the nearest lakes. Life's kind of crazy right now, so I'm not sure when I'll be going out next. But if you guys PM me some contact info I'll let you know the next time I'm heading out and looking for more riders.
