Exploring Bluetooth Options

I currently have an Alpine CDA9886 head unit and connect my Iphone to it using the peripheral IS75 cable.

I am intersted in Bluetooth connection. What do I need to do this?

Once I get it set up, I will share the results of signal quality b/t using a cable and bluetooth connection.

Thanks for any and all help

I'm interested to hear how you find the difference. I have found that in my truck I actually have better volume level using BT for streaming music than I do a 3.5 jack, nothing however trumps the USB. My guess is the FORD/Mycrosoft pumps up the signal for BT.

I spoke with a trusted source and his reccomendation was to get the Alpine KCE400BT. The claim is that that I will not notice the difference b/t the cable and the wireless.

Anyone use one: http://www.alpine-usa.com/product/view/kce-400bt

I just put in 2 new Pioneer DEH-6200BT decks in my car and truck. Unfortunately the deck does not recognize BT audio only BT phone. However it does have both USB and Aux inputs. The USB input really does do much better than the Aux even with a direct dock connection. In truth I even went back to my headphone jack since my iphone 4G is not compatible with my direct dock connection. I would like to have the option to have a bluetooth connection but I don't want it enough to change out my head unit and multiple wired/wireless remotes.

I am curious if this would work well enough to keep me happy: http://www.miccus.com/products/blubridge-mini-jack-rx

Unfortunately my iphone causes so much rf distortion on my system anyway, I usually just put it in airplane mode.
