Anyone going?

juniorhawk 01-09-2008 9:34 AM

I am going representing The Wakeboard Report and drooling at various Malibu, MasterCraft and Correct Craft offerings. I'll also lurk at the Supra booth but last year it was staffed by someone so uninformed that any one of us on this board could have worked that floor better. I still like Supra so I suppose I'll check them out too. I like the Boston Boat Show. I go to a lot of them up and down the East Coast and the New England Show is quite good by comparison - especially in that new venue.

Currently the plan is for this weekend, Saturday - but that could fall through to next Saturday. I want to get there when the action is hot - and this is the big kickoff for the show.

Look for me - I look almost exactly like this:

(Message edited by juniorhawk on January 09, 2008)

I am planning on attending...but unsure of when...I figured it really doesn't matter since the wife won't let me buy anyways...I kind of wish it was like those West Coast or Florida boat shows...those look like fun...Boston one isn't bad...but not much there...hopefully this year might be better..

Honestly, last year's New England Boat Show was better than the indoor portion of the Miami show by a mile. The neat part about the Miami show is the in-water stuff with the insane megayachts but in terms of "our boats" I swear there were more goods on the (very very large) floor at the New England Boat Show than the Miami show.

New England Boat Show doesn't screw around. They do however screw those of us attending as press. READ: they don't acknowledge press like literally every other boat show I've ever covered (or sent representation to) does.

(Message edited by juniorhawk on January 09, 2008)

Ok - I will stop by to say Hi.

The person running the MasterCraft booth was very cool to us, and I appreciated that.

So be as mean as possible to the guy that looks like this:

When will you be there Mike?

(Message edited by juniorhawk on January 09, 2008)

Did not mean the Boston one wasn't good...just seems like those other shows have so much more...but still won't stop me...

Anyone know of any discounted tickets?

juniorhawk 01-10-2008 8:22 AM

Are you bringing a CSX or just a Prostar, and X1 like last year?

mikey_marsh 01-10-2008 2:58 PM
