I recently purchased and installed a new Wakeair tower on my '99 Tige 21V and I was looking for ideas on what to do with my trailer cover? I leave my boat outside quite a bit, so I always keep it covered. Anyone that has info on custom covers, or what you have done would be appreciated. Thanks.

Todd,

You might want to look into some upholstery or canvas shops in your area and price the cost of custom cut-outs on your existing cover? They usually can cut and stitch some sort of velcro-enclosed opening for tower legs. We upgraded to a Boss swoop on our 22v and had the cut-outs made by a local canvas company for under $150.00

Good luck.......

Todd,
I had an Aqualon cover custom made 12 years ago for my Supra Comp and it is still in great shape. Cost was $500 back then. Aqualon is waterproof so there is a vent. I travel with it on and have had zero problems with boat finish. It pulls down very tight with a line running around the base and then 7 lines connecting underneath the boat and 2 on the platform. I am having it modified to go around a Roswell tower today (about $125). The guy who is doing the mods for the tower said he makes boat covers out of Aqualon today. Very durable stuff. If I get another boat, the first thing I would do is get another Aqualon cover made.
Tom

I also had a custom Aqualon cover made for my Supra Launch. The local canvas shop made it this spring for $675. Fits great around the tower and has 6 vents.

Check the archives on boat covers. There has been a lot of discussion and includes pictures to help you out.
