Hoping to get some insight from the audio Gurus here. I have a 2004 Silverado. Last Winter the front left speaker in the drivers door would sound blown or distorted when it was cold (below 25 degrees or so). After the truck would warm up inside, it would sound fine. I never had a problem all summer with it, but now that the cold weather is here again, same thing is happening. Any clue on what's going on? Is it a bad speaker or maybe just a connection? Is it easy to pull a door panel on an 04 silverado? Thanks for any help. Oh, it's all stock system and the problem just started last winter, worked fine the winters before that.

Unless it is a Bose system, it is a common issue with speakers in the front doors. Best bet is to replace speaker with oem.
