just got my new watsons (which are sick) and i put them on my board only to discover that the stance (seems) to be smaller. i have an 05 substance, and on all the 08 boards i noticed they moved to a 3 hole desighn. does anyone else have new liquid force bindings that they put on older boards? if so, have you ridden it an noticed the stance being smaller?

Seems like somebody posted a similar post. Are the plates asymmetrical? If so, could they be switched around?
sorry.... didnt do my research. <BR>the plates are onger at one end, and shorter at teh other. you can switch them around, but they still arnt long enough to reach the very outer holes (the one cloest to the nose of the board, and the tope one of the second set of holes.)
Apparently even though they don't reach the furthest holes out, the stance is the same as normal plates that do (at least that's what I've been told).
ya, they told me the same thing...... but i would too if it was worth making $400
CWB did the same thing but they have extender clamps to get the stance all the way out. Maybe Liquid Force has the same thing??

it seems that the four hole configuration found in slingshot boards is the way to go! All these companies changing plates is just plain crazy. Liquid Force in particular. It's only been a couple of years and they are changing the plate again. I wish all the other board companies would go in the same direction as slingshot. I was actually a little bit saddened that slingshot put all those extra inserts in just to accommodate other types of bindings, especially when those bindings with plates take away from the flex pattern of the board. Believe it or not, one reason i got the 07 setup is because i didn't want all those extra inserts that i wouldn't use.

JD the width is not quite the same width. I have been on both. The point is that I want to ride my old board with the same bindings and cannot get the same setup. SUCKS!
