I am looking for a new wakeboard boat in the range of 45,000 canadian to 48,000 is the sanger 215 a good option

pwningjr 01-30-2009 7:47 PM

Yes. <BR> <BR>Define 'good'. Depending on what you want, it could be the best boat in the world or the worst.(all boats are that way.)

davidggriffith 01-30-2009 8:25 PM

i have a 2006 215 and i love it sanger has stood behind there boats they fixed my seat no problems i had some gelcoat cracks they fixed it even when it was out of warranty

walt 01-30-2009 9:41 PM

IMO Sanger is the best bang for the buck going.

bfnaci 01-30-2009 11:10 PM

Tim, <BR>My buddy has a Sanger and it is awesome. <BR>Talk to some people and get the weight distribution dialed in, nice boat. <BR>I think they all have a cricket in the motor, I've accepted that.

dakid 01-31-2009 12:26 AM

i've always said, sangers are the most underrated wake boats out there.

jetskiprosx 01-31-2009 9:38 AM

We picked up a v230 last year about this time, and we love it! It was a 2007 model year and we got a smoking deal on it! Didn't have all the options and bling of more expensive brands but it had everything we need and we love it. <BR> <BR>The v230 is a big boat. Sits high out of the water and rides great through rough water. We got the v230 because we like to surf more then board. Had it been the other way around we probably would have looked more at the v215. <BR> <BR>The stock ballast (like most boats) just isn't enough. The first thing I did was pull the hard tanks and replace with Fly High 750's. We opted to get the boat without a stereo so I added in a HU, 4 Polk speakers, and an amp to get us through the summer. This winter I have put in a second amp and a 10" sub. The boat has everything I want except Perfect Pass, but that will probably have to wait until next summer. All in all it is a great boat!

polarbill 01-31-2009 9:43 AM

Timothy, you will find everybody on wakeworld speaks very highly of Sangers. Also there are quite a few 2007-2008 brand new ones out there for awesome prices. V215's can had for 35-45, V230's for about the same and I have even seen a v237 for 49k. Those are all American dollars.

scwellman 01-31-2009 10:20 AM

Yes, Sangers are great boats , I went through several price point boats until I bought my 2008 V215 and I can not say enough good things about it or the Sanger boat companies customer service.

rallyart 01-31-2009 10:23 AM

I've got the D215 and am more impressed with it than I thought I'd be. I test drove everything in 2006 and was sure it would be the best boat for me. The V215 handled as well as quite a few of the d-drives and I seriously considered that too. I had some finicky warranty stuff after the first year and it was all fixed under warranty but Sanger was slow getting some of the stuff needed up to Alberta. It was all completed before the season started. <BR>The boats feel very solid and yet very lively when you drive them. They handle storms in the Shuswap or prairie lakes easily (actually fun). I've pulled good skiers behind mine and they say it's very skiable but has a double bump. My kids surf with about a thousand pounds weight and the wake is clean for boarding. <BR>I think the Bennett wake plate is an excellent option to get and you will love having a heater. <BR>I'd buy another in a minute but I don't think I'll need to for 10 or 20 years. <BR> <BR>edit: Oh, and the Stargazer Perfect Pass is an easy install <BR> <BR>(Message edited by rallyart on January 31, 2009)

They are sexy.

evadehickman 01-31-2009 11:52 AM

We have had our V215 for two summers now and love everything about it. Great wake, comfortable seating, awesome drivability and many other subtle features. Sanger is a solid company and will take care of you when it counts!

downfortheride 01-31-2009 12:12 PM

Can somebody post a pic of the interior and helm?

hatepain 01-31-2009 12:22 PM

Here is the 360 virtual tour on their website <a href="http://www.sangerboats.com/boats-V215-360.html" target="_blank">http://www.sangerboats.com/boats-V215-360.html</a>

I take good care of my boat but I work it very hard when its running it's pretty much always under load surfing with roughly 2500lbs. I've been through three seasons with zero problems. Like Brett said WW'ers think very highly of Sanger boats.

sangerlover 01-31-2009 2:40 PM

Sanger owners are probably the most loyal owners on the site. There is a reason of course.

ralph 01-31-2009 5:57 PM

I love my V210, 650hrs of over weighted abuse and it has been rock solid. My next boat will be a V215 for sure.

ponyh8r 01-31-2009 6:26 PM

I would love to ride behind that boat. I think Sanger is one of the best boats for the price.

jarrod 01-31-2009 8:21 PM

I love the Sanger v215 wake. You gotta have the Acme 911 prop though. <BR> <BR>most bang for the buck for sure.

tracktor 02-01-2009 9:50 AM

Smokin' deal on a used Sanger- <BR> <BR><a href="http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/boa/1015275049.html" target="_blank">http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/boa/1015275049.html</a>

airrantz 02-01-2009 9:56 AM

Wow that is a depressing deal. Makes me wonder what my 2003 V210 is worth these days. As far as Sangers go they are the best value for wake, rough water ride, storage, and overall performance out there in my opinion. Not to shabby of a surf wake for a 21 footer either.

downfortheride 02-01-2009 10:56 AM

How is the wake with stock weight, is there even a question and needs more? Anybody got pics or video while riding the Sanger, and what weight their at?

wake_upppp 02-01-2009 11:01 AM

215 wake with stock ballast is tiny. Add 1500 to 2k+ over stock and it's big and rampy.

jetskiprosx 02-01-2009 11:22 AM

That's an insane price on that 04

wake_upppp 02-01-2009 11:30 AM

Lotta people outta work and desperate...

ralph 02-01-2009 1:05 PM

DFTR, V210, 2k or so. 80ft &amp; 23Mph. I'm 6ft 200 pd for reference. <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/665139.jpg" alt="Upload">

downfortheride 02-01-2009 1:13 PM

Darren ~~ Thanks, with a little weight that looks great!

stevev210 02-01-2009 1:19 PM

<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/665146.jpg" alt="Upload">This is a good pick of Garys old Sanger V215, not sure of weight setup that day but it looks pretty good.

dennish 02-01-2009 1:34 PM

V215 is a great wakesurfing boat also. <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/665150.jpg" alt="Upload">

wake_upppp 02-01-2009 9:55 PM

The 215 wake looks like it needs more weight in the nose or speed up. I like Darren's 210 wake pic much better...

pavement_rider 02-06-2009 4:54 PM

Sangers rule I'd trade my 95' Tige 2000SLM comp any day for a sanger V215 any takers out there
