Hey Mikeski - I'm using your word doc as a basis for putting together a "cheap" system. I noticed it was made a few years ago, so I was wondering if you would do anything different now (especially in speaker/amp choices). I've been reading all the old posts on this site, but it seems like the more I read the more confused I get. I was hoping you might have some simple answers. THANKS!!!

Yes: I cant wait for Mike's 2007 version of a inexpencieve Boat stereo. I remember his Nautique with Evids and Monster tower and Blaupunct amp's. I think the whole system cost like $1500

His 2007 Version His tower speakers cost more than
his whole systems.

Things change, don't know if I would still recommend the Blau amps even if they were available.

Definately would not recommend the Boss head unit, I discovered the remote was not waterproof shortly after the write-up.

I need to do a little research this afternoon.

The goal is a complete system for $1500. Watch for a new thread with that title.
