All - I heard an interesting tip this weekend for 360's. We've all heard the usual...

Progressive cut, wait for the pop, initiate your spin by pulling the handle to your rear hip with both hands and turning your head, hold handle in tight, complete pass, spot landing, bend knees and edge away on landing...

But here's something I've never heard that made a ton of sense...

360's are the only trick that are most easily nailed by leaving the wake with your arms completely extended. This is opposite most tricks where you keep the handle in relatively close off the wake for control. But, for 3's, by having your arms all the way out, the instructor said you have much more room for your pull helping make the spin faster and the handle much easier to grab sense you can get some slack in the rope.

I'm all about seeing if this makes it easier for me so I thought I'd share it here as well. Only worry would be making sure you pull towards your hips, not your chest which would make you come way off axis.

I consistantly land all my 3's. To have straight arms is crazy???? of course your arms are in front of you but elbows have to be "in"

i'd love to see how this worked out waking. did you try it yet? although it sounds good in theory it doesn't really seem necessary - seems to add more work.
