dayum ... is that a goofy-side wake?

lakeski 04-30-2011 8:21 PM

Check out the LCS/Littoral Combat Ship in this video. It's a brand new class of ship that has come on-line with the Navy in the past couple of years. I was with one of the boat's builders at the ceremony when she was commissioned by the Navy. He told me that, during sea trials, they were learning what the ship could do. At one point they were running and the wake got so large it took out a sail boat.

The jet propulsion system pumps 4 million gallons of water per minute to drive her at 40 knots (45 mph). Take a look.

Eurocopter A-Star. Not the best wake, but you cant beat the air.

Re: cwb4me's Tige: For the sake of his future trade-in value, I can only hope that those graphics are decals and not in the gel coat (i.e. removable). ;)

bcrider 06-03-2011 9:43 AM

I don't agree with you. I think those graphics look fine and I do believe they are in the gel. That's one sweet looking boat.

cwb4me 06-03-2011 10:33 AM

What's all the fuss about.I have been on wakeworld a little over a year now and seen many of the same boat in multiple threads.Every owner is proud of their own boat.I have seen many boats on here i like.I usually give positive upbeat remarks. Why ,because i like all boats. It seems some of you fellow wakeworlders only like certain brands of boats. That is your right.I hope everyone has a safe and memorable summer.:D

ottog1979 06-03-2011 10:58 AM

Worst. Graphics. Ever.

If it is gel coated in, I would suggest a can of house paint.

bcrider 06-03-2011 11:42 AM

Well there are pictures of that boat on the water and it looks absolutely awesome.

It depends on where you are sitting...

I disagree about the graphics, I think they are really sharp looking and the boat does look awesome on the water.

As soon as I find a buyer for this extra kidney i have , I will order one just like it :0) (in a different color of course)
