Does anyone read French? I did Babelfish on the website - french to english:

http://lerefletdulac.com/article-292134-Les-Depot-reclament-une-consultation-publique-sur-la-plateforme-du-lac-Bowker.html

As best I can tell the guy is proposing a giant wall that would protect the shoreline, I believe.

Anyone out there read French? Is the babelfish translation pretty close?

Thanks!

Looks to me that they are putting in areas for skiing and wakesurfing on this small lake in Quebec

<- french canadian to the rescue!

they wanna build some kind of platform on both side of a wakesurf spot /ski course to protect the shoreline and to enhance riders safety. One of the downside is that it would attract too many big birds and they're afraid that the fresh water would get poisoned due to all the extra fecal matter.. They are also afraid that the shore residents would complain if they had a surf/ski course in their backyard...I know I wouldn't !!
