I'm going to make a video next summer, Whats a decent camcorder? With a resonable price tag. Does have a waterproof housing? Thanks,

Canon HV30 is a great cheap HD camera. It's about $750. Canon has cheaper models as well. Just with less features.

It is worth talking to a good sales person. I bought a HD hard drive panasonic and couldn't down load. Know what you are trying to do and then talk to people.

Most people i know don't use the hard drive cams because some quality is lost when transferring to computer. I would look at a good 3ccd minidv or even hd mini dv but that is my personal opinion.

It all depends on what you want. I personally like the Canon lineup and use the HG10. It's a great little HD camera.

Take into account that a waterproof housing can cost as much as the camera.
