Jockey Club - PH Towers - Las Vegas

Hey, just wondering if anyone has experience with this place?

My fiance and her good friend just both competed in the Miss Wisconsin pageant (didn't win) and want to go to vegas to cheer on the girl who did win (and buy more pageant ****).... since I never need a reason, just an excuse to go, I'm game too.

The trip to vegas will be for about a week with a group between 6/8 people. So its either get 3-4 single rooms or try and find one large condo/suite/villa for everyone (which is would I would like).... since we'll be there for 6/7 days it would be nice to have a kitchen/living space aside from where we'll sleep.... so if someone was hung-over, tired they could sleep while others hung out.... and having a fridge would be awesome - stock up on water/actual save leftovers, and keep booze cold.

The wants/needs are:
On the main strip (not down by circus circus - closer to PH the better)
Sleep 6 no problem and 8 if we have that many (2 will be singles and a pullout couch or something will be fine)
Would like to keep it under $300 a person for the room/rooms ($+/-2000 for the week)

I know we can get 4 rooms for that but then you lose the kitchen/living aspect unless you dedicate a room to be the party room and then have two couples stay together.... which is always a last resort

From what I see there are 3 places that kind of fit the bill:
The Jockey Club - prime location - cheapest of all - seems like no hidden costs or fees
PH Towers - right at PH (Miss America is why the girls are going) - looks really nice - little pricey
MGM Sig - down a bit away from where we want - they places don't look huge - little pricey for what you get
OTHER OPTIONS - ?!?

Anyone ever stay in these condo/villa/suite options and if so how was it? Other suggestions are welcome too!

Thanks!!!

Stayed at the PH Towers. Didn't have a big room so not quite sure of the room rates. Def is a young persons hotel for sure. Usually hear a few parties goin on in rooms until the wee hours. Quite central on the strip as well.

I figured it was from the look of it.

Its super nice looking and the location (especially with Miss America in the main PH) is awesome....but its upper end of the budget.... could you walk through from the Towers - through planet hollywood - to the strip without going outside?

Old skool! Jockey club is ancient. 40 years old? That used to be next door to the dunes and sorta kitty corner from the "old" MGM that had the terrible hotel fire in 1980. Obviously they must have converted it to condos or time shares. Location shouldn't be bad... Monte Carlo, NY NY, Belagio, MGM, etc all on the same block. And it's only a hop skip and a jump from where TuPac got shot, so it's got that going for it.

(note -- grew up in LV, left for college in 89 and have only gone back to visit since...)

going to add The Signature @ MGM to the list for sure now.... called onthis place and its like $1922 with allllll taxes and fees, looks nice
http://www.vrbo.com/279396#photos - anyone know if you can get from this to the main strip without going outside (through MGM maybe)?.... the girls worry a bit about having to walk anywhere but main strip where its less likely something may happen

Nick, yes you can. It's all attached through the Miracle Mile Shops. Towers are right beside the pool.

The more I look around it seems hard to beat the Jockey Club - Found a 2 bed/2bath (4 queens beds and 1 pullout couch) so we could realistically put 9 people in there... and they want $2100 for the week (I'm sure they'll budge in price - every other place has)....you get access to all the Cosmo features and they have a bus/shuttle that runs all around vegas for free..... its across the street from PH which is nice, close to many other casinos/restaurants/walgreens.

I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for cheap room offers that may come through but even at $2000 for 8 people its pretty hard to beat ($250 pp for a week)....

just worried that cosmo/bellagio's table games maybe a little rich for my blood- but I can always hike to a cheaper one (maybe curb some of the gambling)
