What is the difference between the Alphas and the Transits, except for cost?

wakebordr11 07-31-2004 12:00 AM

the baseplate and there are some minor discrepancies in the overlays and I think the transit has 2 strings, one for the toes and one for the upper part of the boots... that is all that I can see are the differences when looking at them... Alphas rock though...

Dunane thanks. Anyone else?

transits are higher around the heels... and might be a little stiffer but try those a week after the alphas so I'm not sure... the FAST system(new plate) and thicker footbed are really a plus on the transits... the sphynx might feel a little more like the alphas but with the FAST plate... but still, for the price, alphas are ahead IMO... more freedom of movement with great hold...

Tim I just got the transits and fregean love them the footbeds are unreal, most comfortable binding that I've used .

mike_d 08-01-2004 1:31 PM

transit footbed is ten times softer because the soles are helium injected like a running shoe the most comfertable binding made...
