Another Heat Molding Question
I just got a pair of Ronix Franks and I want to heat mold them. I really dont have the money right now to go to a shop and last time I used the bathtub method but I dont think my water gets hot enough. I would like to try the hair dryer method but I cant find any info on how long to leave the hairdryer in there for. Thanks for the help.

I would say about 15 minutes, with my slingshot boots I put them in the oven for 15 minutes at 215 and then on my feet for 15 minutes.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but about 110F is the right temperature. Water out of the tap will work great. What you are looking for is a head-start on break-in. A perfect fit takes time.
As for me, I have been riding Ronix boots ever since they made the switch to baseless. I have never heat molded a pair. Riding will always be the best way for me. |

The shop charged you to heat mold your boots? |
there are only snowski shops around me and they charge around 40 to 60
and thanks for the help |
That sucks man that they're charging you. I did mine last year using water as hot as I could bear. Worked a charm for me and got them pretty much watertight
