I have a 2007 Supra 21V and I hit the trailer with the prop. I was so windy, I never thought that could ever happen. Anyway need a new one, any suggestions?

A direct replacement would be an Acme 537. The 857 is the torquer prop for heavily loaded conditions. Another alternative could the the ACME 1235, but I would have to check the clearances. How much room do you have from the tip of the blade to the hull?

take it to a prop shop or dealer and have it turned for about $100. good as new.

or you could buy a new one from the dealer for about $400-450. good to have a spare. i bought a replacement prop then had the old one turned and i keep it as the backup.

like Will said....get it fixed and purchase a new one....so you will have a spare. I alternate between my Acme and OJ...cause there is a lot of shiat in the water where I ride.

I just took it in and they are fixing it, I will look for a new prop after christmas. I will be more careful the rest of the month. Thanks for the help. Any one else know of a better prop for wakeboarding? Stainless or aluminum?

chikara22 12-04-2006 8:46 PM

i use the wakeboard/altitude 4 blade Aluminum prop that I bought as an upcharge from my Supra dealer when I got my boat. Not sure the size (maybe 14"?)and pitch though. It pulls like crazy and makes my boat have a great holeshot.

I have a like new 381 13.5 x 17.5 four blade that will fit your boat. It was used a couple of times and I kept it as a spare, but don't need it anymore. I would take yours off and a good prop shop can fix for $75-100 like new. Always good to have a spare. $300

hey everybody, jumping in here a little late, just damaged my prop yesterday. but like all the advise about fixing the old for spare and purchasing a knew. any recomendations on a prop for my v215. got a quote for an oem prop from the dealer for 420. i have no complaints performance wise with what im using but you can always find somthing better.

jbudnik 12-05-2006 9:02 PM

Mike, is that an altitude prop? I do not know that much about props, I may need a prop 101.

The direct replacement for your propeller would be our 14.25 X 14 Lc 1 1/8" XMP EDGE #466, same propeller you have now. This propeller is our wakeboard specific propeller and replaced the 13.7 X 17.5. Let me know if you have any other questions. eric@ojprops.com

I did some testing for Acme and all of the props they make made my XLV better. I choose the 1235 14.5 X 14.25 It is Unbelieveable!! Any way I got a new one of these in a box brand new for my efforts and I will sell it for cost which is what I paid for it and the two others before testing. Any way its a alot less than what's retail. let me know... Or if you choose a different route call Karl he's awsome and posted above.

Tailwinds!
