The undiscovered genius of Vivian Maier
I might be a little behind on this story, but came across it today and am simply amazed.

She's shooting a Rollei which reverses the image in the view and then snapping off images that depend on depth of field and hyper focus. Amazing composition sense. |
Okay… not sure why the embedded video didn't work… oops.

Oh, it did work. I am, apparently, an idiot.

A very cool story. It's a shame it took her passing to bring these images to the public and kudos to the gentleman that found them going through all the work to catalog them! It makes you wonder how many other Vivian Maier's are out there that no one knows about.
On a somewhat related note.. I've been watching Storage Wars and now I'm itching to go bid on a unit.. you never know what you'll find! |
Her photos look amazing.

Very interesting stuff. I would be a terrible street photographer. I'd much rather be in the wildness shooting wildlife or landscapes versus having to point a camera at someone I don't know.... makes me very uncomfortable. Much respect given to people that do this kind of thing.
