Anyone ever get those falls were you absolutly smash "the boys" and can't ride after? I get those falls everyother time i go out!

My dads egging me on, trying to get me to buy a cup so i can have his grandchildren someday, so any thoughts on wakeboarding with a cup?

Try some padded barefoot shorts.

guido 09-26-2005 1:03 PM

ha, ha, ha, this threads killin' me. Jason, I'm sure we all know what you're talking about. Think how cool you'd look with you're boardshoarts all blown up around your cup. The girls be all over you. You'd look like you were packing a huge johnson.

green_johnson 09-26-2005 1:08 PM

haha yeah Evan I was thinking about wearing one ONLY with the wetsuits on, then give a few buddys on the boat some "facefulls" while streching over them to pick up oddly placed objects

guido 09-26-2005 1:10 PM

nice

corkyswx2 09-26-2005 1:11 PM

Try riding with a jump suit. Built in soft cups.

big_ed_x2 09-26-2005 1:31 PM

in just shorts,it happens to me all the time but when I wear a wetsuit it really helps alot so now when I ride in the summer I put on some speedo-type boxers and shorts over them and I can say it helps a lot.

I always wear swimmer shorts under my boardshorts. They are basically speedos but they arent gay cut. They are called jammers. They are longer like biker shorts. Its nice becasue they dry out fast too.

http://www.swimoutlet.com/Swim_Jammers_s/213.htm

i ride with barefoot shorts on - makes quite a difference on those falls.

thane_dogg 09-26-2005 3:20 PM

I rock the swim jammers like da hui under my boardshorts. Helps a lot. And keeps you a tad warmer too.

mjmurphy53711 09-26-2005 3:33 PM

ive never tried it, but my buddy swears by wearing bikers shorts to help keep things in place.

www.wakecoupons.com

I'm the king of under rotating spins and coming down right on the boys. It's a little bit uncomfortable, but never ride without a cup.

thane_dogg 09-26-2005 4:18 PM

I can't believe people actually wear a cup to go wakeboarding.

tracktor 09-26-2005 4:29 PM

It seems like shorts would help more that a cup. Everytime I've smashed the berries it's been from the back. I'm gonna check out the jammers...............

tonis 09-26-2005 8:05 PM

I just lay in the water for about 10 minutes while everybody points at me, then give er' another go!

liquidmx 09-26-2005 11:58 PM

I feel yah, especially when you afre learning ts fronts. WOOOHOOO those ones really get to you.

I wear bicycling shorts mostly because I dry faster so I dont have that soggy feeling, but they also help keep things in place. As far as reducing the amount of pain, I doubt it. It especially sucks if you wear a non-uscg vest like the A-10, then you cant even relax, your stuck treading water trying to get over the pain.
