My buddy is boat shopping. He can find some odd ball stuff. He has come across a boat by the name of Coyote. All we know so far is that it is manufactured by a company called viking. The boat is closed bow and supposably equiped with an LT1. I was just wondering if anyone had ever heard of this boat or knows anything about it.

I would stick with the name brands. If the boat were to have problems or need replacement parts, where are you going to get them? At least with the main companies, you know what you are buying.

I agree Paul. That is what my buddy will probably do. I was just curious about the boat.

Looks like an Aztec Coyote. I've seen a few Aztec Crows for sale on Boattrader, and have seen a Crow in person, but not the Coyote. It appears to be Aztec's crossover boat. Try to find someone that isn't a salesman to give you some info on Aztec.

Forgot the link <a href="http://www.aztecboats.com/coyote.htm" target="_blank">http://www.aztecboats.com/coyote.htm</a>

Looks like a pile of sh*t to me, and I am not a salesman.

That link tells you that the Coyote is designed to do exactly what you don't want a wakeboard boat to do: lift the hull out of the water. In fact, you want the hull to displace as much water as possible (hence the wedge, fat sacks, lead, etc to "sink" the boat). Steer clear.

Looks a bit like an old Moomba Boomerang.

Like Ryan, I have seen those in Boattrader and the one I saw was there when I started looking like 2 years ago and is still for sale!! I think if he did buy it plan on keeping it till it goes to the junkyard/dump.

That windshield reminds me of uncle's IO from the 70's.

mjones47 01-27-2005 9:01 AM

Ryan, thanks for the length. I didn't think there were any inboard style boats I had not run across. Sounds like this boat company is trying to compete with Moomba.

This boat company is out of business!!!
