I live on Kingsley Lake in Florida so I have a great spot to ride, but I'm kinda looking for something maybe up in Tennessee or the Carolina's. I know I've driven through Tennessee and seen some awesome lakes and I think there were campsites, but I just need some names. Really anything within a days drive. (pulling a boat)

austin jordan lake is a humoungous lake and the land around it is all state-owned; its a nature preserve and is full of campsites around the water with docks. its in the raleigh area. http://ils.unc.edu/parkproject/visit/jord/home.html

if youd would be willing to travel three more hours Smith Mountain Lake in VA is the most beautiful and fun lake I have ever been on. It has over 500 miles of shoreline and campsite, hotels, and apartments on the water. What makes it so unique though is that for example each room in one of its hotels or each site in its campgrounds has its own dock. Many times we would spend the day out on the water and then decide we wanted to go to say, chinese, and pull right up to the resturaunt's dock. It's really just a town on the water, its great. http://www.visitsmithmountainlake.com/ http://www.smith-mountain-lake.com/

if youre looking for somewhere much closer than these lake norman is in charlotte,nc. its the largest in the state but i have never been on it.
http://www.golakenorman.com/
