For those with winches, have built them, or used them, I have some line questions:

Where did you get yours?
What's the best place you know of to find one?
How thick did you go?
And how long did you go?

Thanks!

You can order winch line through you Accurate/Hyperlite dealer. They can order different lengths and types of line. If they don't know they can order this line please have them call Corey @ Hyperlite.

Corey M @ Hyperlite

I BOUGHT 1000 FOOT OF ACCURATE FOR MINE. GO TO HYPERLITE DEALER. WORKS GREAT. SMOOTH PULL WITH ONE CONTINUOUS ROPE RATHER THAN SEVERAL PUT TOGETHER.

dirwoody 11-04-2008 8:42 AM

How long is too long though?
And what did you guys do for your spools?

romes 11-04-2008 8:48 AM

we have a couple thousand feet on ours.

pm CIE Al about it he built ours.

dirwoody 11-04-2008 8:50 AM

Sounds good!

I'll have to post pics once everything gets underway.

dirwoody 11-04-2008 8:50 AM

Also, how many of you guys went with a CVT vs a centripital clutch?
Not sure if I spelled that right

romes 11-04-2008 8:58 AM

make sure you put a torque converter or if you plan on deep water starts.

steezyshots 11-04-2008 9:06 AM

Also 1000 feet of Accurate line on ours, I would go that way. Great line!

Darin,

We have releasing spools and our 2009 Aluminum Pimp Winch frames available. Our releasing spools freewheel on it's own set of highspeed ball bearings when pulling the rope out; nice feature to have so you dont have to pull out rope against the engine. Heres a pic of one of our spools mounted.

Bullet Pimp Winch frames are made of polished aluminum tubing and weigh less than 25 lbs. Ou new frames are just plan pimp.

Ken Land
Bullet Lines
www.bulletlines.com
