This was made up of 173 stacked 25 sec exposures. But the hill and water and boat is just a single 25 second exposure image overlayed on the stacked images. I didn't do any light painting. The dock and boat was illuminated from the light of the hotel. |

Well, I haven't posted in quite some time. So, here goes nothing..
This first one has a story.. After taking the shot, I decided to post it up on Newschoolers.com (a big website in the freeski industry). After about 24 hours it had 1800+ views with a 9.44 out of 10 rating. They then decided to make it their picture on their splash page, along with their profile picture on Facebook. This all is a big deal to me (as if you couldn't tell) and to my friend, Jon, who's skiing in the pic.. All of the following pics were taken at Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre. it's an a3. yeah, i have TWO lights out as a matter of fact...i took the bulbs out for the daytime running lights and installed LEDs instead. i just gotta put the bulbs back in to get rid of the bulb out warning.

New personal best for me- Scott Byerly was in town and stopped by The Liquid Playground for a video screening of The Get Down, and I was just shooting around a bit and figured I would just try to see if I could get a shot of people watching the movie in the dark. Problem was I had no tripod, or anything else to use as a tripod. So I just hand-held the thing to see if I could get lucky...aaaaand I did! Usually I can hand hold shots as slow as 1/20th second (thanks to IS) but a full second is definitely a new best.
100% crop from Lightroom below- and yes, my camera is old and looks very ugly at 1000 ISO :eek: |
