dizzyj 01-12-2010 7:45 AM

travis, was that using the canon software? I just read about that on my t1i and want to give it a try.

richd 01-12-2010 8:27 AM

I like the time lapse Travis did you use some sort of interval timer or sequence a bunch of stills?

cali_rider 01-12-2010 10:30 AM

Thanks guys

DJ - i actually just installed the software last night. for some reason my CS4 doesn't read my Raw files so i had to use it to upload the photo, but besides that i didnt touch it....ok i brought down the exposure just a little to get rid of the fog/smog haha.

Rich - i actually bought a cheap intervalometer thats a "timer remote" from amazon. had some good reviews so i thought why not. Its actually one of the reasons why i bought a dslr. But i just set it to take a picture every 10 seconds, i have another time lapse from earlier in the day as well that i will post.

Its fun but i still have a lot to learn though...

Here is what i used
http://amzn.com/B002IPMQTS

Here's a few pics I took this morning on the way into work. I was driving away from the sunrise and noticed it in my rearview. I pulled over and snappped a few pics. JP. Wow! Looks very nice

01-13-2010 10:00 AM

Thanks Travis. I should have used a faster shutter speed for more sharpness. It's not as sharp as I would like. These pics don't do it any justice...the sunrise and wild mustangs were unreal.

skull 01-21-2010 6:00 PM

No tripod... I just set my little Canon SD880 on a glass and set the exposure to -1 1/3.

Here is a cool one of the Hoover Dam shot from a helicopter. We did the helicopter deal on short notice so I should have researched camera settings. My shutter was at 125th. Pics would have been better at 1000th or 2000th but it was actually raining and dark most of the trip so 125th was about as quick as I could get it at that time of the morning.

sidekicknicholas 01-25-2010 8:06 PM

Handheld... you can see on the lower set of lights that I moved a bit

richd 01-26-2010 6:13 AM

Handheld? Wow good job.

wakedad33 01-26-2010 6:57 AM

Agree Rich, I would have guessed tripod or some other kind of stabilizing device. Nice work Nick!

sidekicknicholas 01-26-2010 9:50 AM

I was just really tired... so movement wasn't a big issue

phenom_1819 01-26-2010 2:03 PM

Took this over the weekend from Luther Burbank Park on Mercer Island, looking towards South Bellevue, WA. We went wakeboarding later that day... poored rain and the wind blew hard.
