Given you love wakeboarding and mx. Which would you do. Live on lake with mx track nearby. Or live on acreage with mx track and you have a lake nearby. Granted you have 4 seasons with snowboarding near.

Lake. You can do more on the water than you can do on a track. Swim, fish, etc...

While I would love to live on the water I dont think it would be worth it at my local lake. I hate the small lots and the inflated prices of the homes on the lake. To me I would rather save the money that it costs to live at a lake and drive 5 min to get there.

Live on a lake, it is not even close. Though since I don't have a love for MX....it is tough to just tell myself that being close to a track would be important.

I think living on a lake is MUCH more than the ability to take the boat out. It is more lifestyle. You don't see MX track frontage much in real estate descriptions.

Acreage, I've lived on a farm most of my life and i wouldn't want to give that away for a small lot on a lake. I'll take being as loud as i want and not have to worry about neighbors with a 10 min drive to the launch over being right on the lake and having to to worry about other people.

I have lived on a lake all my life, its nice walking out your door and getting in your boat. I also have two awesome mx tracks and a ski hill within a mile of my house. Still perfer the lake!!

I guess the question would be, how small is the lot? Or are you talking about building your own private lake? If its the latter, no question (of course you could have both).

How about acreage on a lake? That is the way to go...

Lake any day.

Waking up every morning, looking out at the lake, it feels like you're on vacation.

(Message edited by eaglejackson on October 03, 2006)

Are you going to sell lots around your cable park or is it just you that is getting a house?

partydock17 10-03-2006 2:12 PM

Its juts me, but it would make for an awesome community!

Homeowner fees would be horrible though...

Danny T.
www.OKCBoardShop.com
www.WakeboardOklahoma.com

Lake property for sure . . . The Baby Boomers are retiring and are buying up summer time waterfront, probably over the next 5 to 8 years or so. . . it's a pretty safe bet that the real estate appreciation will eventually allow you to recover all of your boating expenses, which is nice.

fishboatwakerider 10-03-2006 8:42 PM

I wish I had either... but if i had to choose I'd say lake front property now that I have a boat and haven't ridden a MX bike in years.

4 years ago though... I'd have been all over some MX track property. But then again.. I have 2 friends with acreage with tracks on them.... so I guess I'd still go with lake prop.
