Can someone please help me as to which boat would be the best for wake boarding and the best wake? 1998 Mastercraft 205 vs 1997 Mastercraft 190, I would really appreciate it.

Also have found a 1996 Mastercraft 205 and a 1995 Mastercraft 205...what do you think would be best out of all of these boats?

Thanks!

205 hands down....same hull as the old x-star. which is now the x-2....I don't know what year is better I believe they all have the same hull????I've got a 96 190...the wake is nice with abotu 2200lbs...but the 205 will be better.

The 98 205 has the same hull as the old X-Star/X2. It throws a fantastic wake.
|
96 or 98 205. The hull differances are slight as far as I know. Stay away from the 95, not a very good hull for skiing or boarding.
|
'98 205 would be a sick ride and a hands down choice for me.

I use to have a 1995 205 and with about 1100 pounds of phat sacks made a great wake it also skied very well.

I thought that 96 is when they chaged the hull to the current X-2.

No matter what year you buy your going to get the best all round boat on the market.

It was 98-2000, then they did away with the 205dd. I use to have an 00 and loved it. It handled like an indy car and threw a hell of a wake loaded. Had to trade it for more room though.

205 for ~ boarding!

190 for ~ skiing!
|
I used to own a '97 205...just to echo everyone else's recommendations, definitely go with the 205 if you're into boarding. More space, better wake, what else do you need?

Thanks for the help guys...I went with the 98 205. I will post some pics sometime when I get it, like I want it. Thanks again for all the help!
